Prediction markets are forecasting systems where participants spend points to change the current probability estimate, and earn points on edits that prove to be correct.
The average of a diverse group is usually more accurate than the opinion of a single expert or a small group of like-minded individuals. Also, the points system encourages participants "to speak up when they know something, and shut up when they don't." Accurate forecasters gain more influence.
You will contribute to an important study on how to improve the accuracy of prediction markets, compare your forecasts with others to see how well you perform, have the opportunity to learn professional forecast techniques, improve your forecasting skills. Active participants enter a monthly drawing for one of sixty $50 Amazon Gift Cards.
To participate in the main DAGGRE Project, you must be 18 years or older and a U.S. citizen. We encourage participants from various backgrounds and occupational fields, as we want a diverse forecasting pool.
